When people describe neck pain, it can be a combination of tight muscles, reduced mobility (“stiffness”), weakness (“it’s hard to hold my head up”), dull achy pain, and even sharp, stabbing pain. Many people have “tried everything” and don’t realize there are natural, effective, safe, and affordable options available to relieve neck pain.

Neck Pain Relief
Neck pain relief starts with the right diagnosis to ensure we’re not merely chasing symptoms. Neck pain can be caused by a multitude of causes, including whiplash, muscle strains, arthritis (degeneration), poor posture, ligament sprains, disc disorders, misalignments, “text neck” and more. Our team will sit with you and develop a comprehensive medical history so we can identify the specific cause or causes. Appropriate imaging can be reviewed if you already have it, or ordered if need be.
Neck Pain Treatment
Our St. Petersburg, FL clinic offers many treatment options for those suffering with neck pain. Based on what the doctor determines as the cause of your neck pain, a customized treatment plan will be created for you. Neck pain treatment options may include:
Chiropractic Care: If the cause of your neck pain is determined to be spinal misalignments that are irritating your nerves and causing muscular imbalances, we may recommend gentle chiropractic treatments. These treatments are safe, comfortable, and can provide tremendous relief of neck pain. In addition to chiropractic adjustments, the doctor may recommend a series of home stretches and exercises to help you strengthen your neck and reduce pain.
Deep Tissue Laser Therapy: Also called Photobiomodulation (or PBM), deep tissue laser therapy uses specific wavelengths of light to trigger cellular changes. It feels like warm sunlight on your skin, and can reduce pain and inflammation, and encourage cellular healing.
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP): When your neck pain is due to inflammation, injury, or degeneration, PRP can often help initiate a healing response! This process takes about 30 minutes and is done in the office. PRP is minimally invasive and initial results can be felt within hours. We simply take a small amount of blood from a vein in your arm, then spin it in a centrifuge to separate the components. The plasma layer contains concentrated platelets, growth factors, enzymes, hormones, white blood cells, and more. This “healing concentrate” is now ready to be injected into the muscles of your neck so it can get to work! PRP continues to work for several months, and the results can last for months or years depending on your health status and activities.
Regenerative Cellular Therapy (RCT): Sometimes people refer to this as “stem cell therapy.” In RCT, we inject healthy, young, vibrant cells into the patient. These cells are harvested from screened and tested donors during routinely scheduled c-sections. (There is no harm or discomfort to the baby or the Mother in this process.) This ethically sourced tissue is tested, processed, and preserved by an FDA-regulated multi-state tissue bank. Specifically, we use mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) derived from the Wharton’s Jelly of newborns’ umbilical cords. These young cells can stimulate your body to repair and heal damaged areas while reducing inflammation.
Another type of RCT involves the use of exosomes to increase the communication of your cells and provide raw materials for healing. Similar to a conductor in an orchestra, the exosomes help all of your own cells to do their jobs better, including repairing and rebuilding damaged tissues.
Additional treatment recommendations may include postural changes, nutrition changes or supplements to reduce inflammation, nutritional IVs, and trigger point injections. Our medical team will work with you to develop a customized plan that addresses the cause of your neck pain (not just the symptoms) and fits your lifestyle.
